I just got telephony from xs4all and this is the nice thing: they provide sip access to their phone system. It was a little bit trial and error but now I can use my Nokia E51 using their phone system. This post describes the correct settings.

Nokia E51

• Choose Menu → Tools → Settings → Connection → Sip settings

• Create a new SIP profile with the following settings:
  • Profile name: Voipbusterpro
  • Service profile: IETF
  • Default access point: pick your access point
  • Public user name: 02******@sip.xs4all.nl
  • Use compression: No
  • Registration: pick your favorite (I use always on)
  • Use security: no
  • Proxy server: NONE!
  • Registrar server
    • Registrar server address: sip.xs4all.nl
    • Realm: sip.xs4all.nl
    • Username: 02****** (no @sip.xs4all.nl!)
    • Password: your password
    • Transport type: auto
    • Port: 5060
• Save your profile
• Choose Menu → Tools → Settings → Connection → Internet tel.
• Choose Options → New Profile
  • Name: xs4all
  • Sip profiles: xs4all
• Done! You are now ready to make and receive calls using your xs4all sip account.
