Free SPSS alternative: GNU PSPP

I recently do quite some work in SPSS, which is a program used for statistical analysis. A license for SPSS is quite expensive but there is a cheap solution as well…
A friend told me about a free open source alternative called GNU PSPP.
GNU PSPP has a guided tour which shows pretty much where GNU PSPP is capable of. GNU PSPP is available for Windows, OSX, Linux and there is even a Knoppix livecd which has GNU PSPP installed.
A few days ago I started writing a tutorial about using the SPSS language called Syntax. I thought this was a good test to see whether GNU PSPP came with the same generated dataset as SPSS. It turned out the dataset was equal to each other.
