My name is Bas van Dijk, born in 1983, studying computer science. As a six years old I start using a computer (a HP Vectra 286 for those interested) to play computer games. A couple of years later I began tweaking qbasic programs. Later on I used to start using Visual Basic 4 in order to develop some simple programs.
Nowadays I am active in the field of web application development using ASP.NET. Because of my interest in GUI design, I like to design front-ends for web applications. A great interest of mine is photography; those who are interested can visit my showcase or my Flickr gallery. Since a couple of weeks I have another brand new hobby: Whisky. A friend of mine introduced me into the world of whisky: it turned out to be really interesting.
This blog is basically about everything I like to share with others. I enjoy writing posts on my blog; and it works for me as a diary 2.0, since I can look up what I have been doing through my life
