Website with colour inspiration

According to themselves Colourlovers.com is “a resource that monitors and influences color trends”. This website looks a bit like Adobe’s Kuler, but Colourlovers supports patterns and palettes. See the colourlovers website for yourself at the website.

Logo design

Yesterday I helped a friend of mine in developing the new style of his blog. I used Adobe’s Kuler to find out some nice colour combinations. Further I drew the logo in Inkscape. Below is a short description in how I drew the logo:

  1. I used the text tool to add the “dammIT” text
  2. After this I converted the text into an object
  3. In the node-select-mode I made the “T” as high as the top of the “d”.
  4. I moved the top-left part of the “T” to the left
  5. Added a white rounded corner background.
  6. Exported it as a PNG and send it over to Michiel, who added his winter picture.
  7. The result:
